Lützenkirchen. It’s a name that demands respect. For one, because it’s so fun to say. But far more because the man who has produced music under over 20 monikers over nearly two decades has displayed some spectacular longevity and consistency. Immersed in the electronic music scene since 1995 when he worked as a promoter in Ibiza, today Lützenkirchen has an incredible 592 tracks on Beatport. 592!! In my brief search to try to find anyone remotely close, no producer had any ground on this legendary German master.
One of the most recent additions to his ridiculous resume is an absolute techno colossus called Spec Ops Two. From the introduction of the driving, sexy bassline to the gigantic breakdown that conjures images of an entire club smiling from ear to ear, this gem has dancefloor hysteria written all over it.

Another more uptempo, more tribal-feeling and equally massive techno offering from the man is Motto Imewaka. Check it out below, and if you’re in the lucky city of Montreal, cross your fingers that he drops them both this Thursday at Club UN at what promises to be a killer party.
